FlowTimr — time tracking for Mac and the web

How a Timr works

Three steps.
One loop.

Pick who pays. Get into the work. Finish with a note. FlowTimr keeps the whole loop close, from the Mac menu bar to your web browser.

01 / Start

Start a Timr

Choose a client, a project, and the rate that goes with it. Type what you're about to do — or say it — and hit Done.

02 / Work

Stay in flow

A small card floats over your work and asks how it's going. Still working, I'm done, or leave a voice memo. No full-screen takeover.

03 / Finish

Finish with a note

Say what you shipped. Save and finish. The Timr lands on today's timeline and the month total moves.

Gentle accountability

Stay in flow.
Stay honest.

Focus check-ins keep the hour from quietly disappearing. They're a nudge, not a productivity lecture — three answers, one tap, back to work.

How is Website design going?

Back to it. Next check-in in 25 minutes. The Timr never stopped.

Say what you're doing. FlowTimr transcribes it into the session note.

The satisfying part

Watch the month fill up.

Hourly rates roll into a live earnings total. Every finished Timr moves the bar from "I worked" to "I earned." Motivation you can feel — and an invoice you can trust.

Everything in the panel

Built for heads-down freelancers.

Designers, developers, consultants, small agencies — people who sell time and then disappear into the work. Everything below fits in one menu-bar panel.

  1. 01Menu-bar native

The whole app is a panel that drops from the menu bar. No window to manage, no tab to lose.

    macOS
  2. 02Clients & rates

Every project carries its own hourly rate, so the money math is done before you start.

    Billable · Per project
  3. 03Intentions

Type what you're about to do, or say it. The session starts with a purpose attached.

    Typed · Spoken
  4. 04Focus check-ins

A floating card, not a modal. Still working, I'm done, or a voice memo.

    Floating · Snoozable
  5. 05ADHD mode

Gentler prompts and different pacing when the day needs it. One toggle at the top of the panel.

    Toggle
  6. 06Live earnings

Month total and weekly strip update the second a Timr is saved.

  7. 07Cross-device sync

Start on one Mac, see it running on another. The timer follows you.

Questions

Before you download.

01Will check-ins interrupt me?+
They're a small floating card — Still working, I'm done, or Voice memo — not a modal that steals focus. If you're mid-thought, one tap sends it away and the Timr keeps running.
02Does it replace my invoicing tool?+
FlowTimr helps you build and review branded invoices from tracked time. Choose clients and dates, review the hours and totals, and add your business details.
03Mac and web?+
Use the FlowTimr Mac app for a menu-bar workspace, or open the web app in your browser. When account sync is enabled, your saved work is available across your devices.
04What does ADHD mode change?+
Gentler check-in prompts and a different pacing between them. It's a single toggle at the top of the panel, so you can flip it on for a hard day and off again without touching settings.
05Where does my data live?+
The Mac app can keep your work locally. You can choose account sync to make it available across devices and in the web app. Export tools are available for your time records.
